CHECK OUT THESE JOURNALS:

New Ohio Review We here at MFA/MFYou are partial to this journal for a few reasons. One is that one of our editor Ashley Cowger's first print stories appeared in NOR (and the editors nominated the story for a Pushcart). Another is that, later, our poetry editor, Damien Cowger, was hired as the Assistant Editor of NOR . But the main reason is that this journal is, hands down, one of the best little literary journals around. Period.

Our Stories This is an excellent online journal that actually gives feedback on every submission. They also offer workshop programs and publish interviews with some pretty impressive writers. Useful for all writers but highly recommended for you MFYous who might not have other avenues to get quality feedback on your work.

Permafrost Hey, just because our editor, Ashley Cowger, used to work as a fiction editor for this journal doesn't mean there's any bias here (okay, maybe just a little . . .). It really is a quality journal and it's a good example of the sort of journal MFA programs put out.

AgentQuery.com Perhaps the most useful website for new writers trying to get their foot in the door. Find agents and publishers and read tips on how to grab their attention.

HollyLisle.com Novelist Holly Lisle's website is probably one of the best resources for writers on the net. There's not even the space here to tell you about all the stuff you'll find on her website. Trust me, you will not be disappointed.
