To support each other and to compare even more thoroughly what different writers are doing, MFA/MFYou will host a community page where we’ll link to different writers’ Process Blogs.
The Process Blog: This is a chance for you to log what you’re up to as a writer. It’s a great way to hold yourself accountable, motivate yourself (and others!), and check in with other writers to see what works (and maybe what doesn’t work so well) for them.
Things we’d like to see in every Process Blog:
1. Whether you are MFA or MFYou
2. What your writing process is like (Do you write x number of words every day? Do you only write on the second Tuesday of every month? Do you write in random spurts where you might pump out 20,000 words in three days and then not write again for three weeks?)
3. Regular (and you can define “regular” however you like) updates on what you’ve been doing as a writer.
You can make it as formal or informal as you like and how you format it is up to you. We do want these to be relevant to writing, though, so be sure you keep on track with your entries if you want the link to stay up in our Community page. We’d like this to develop into a true community so once you get your Process Blog set up, take a look at what other MFA and MFYou writers are doing and comment on other people’s entries. Come on, let’s support and encourage each other!
Send blog links to: feedback@mfamfyou.com (Please put “Process Blog” in your subject line.)
We’ll review your blog to make sure it’s a true Process Blog (and not just a random blog where you talk about things unrelated to writing) before we post the link to our Community page. We reserve the right to not post a link or take down our link to any Process Blog that does not meet our standards.
